Smith says the only way to prevent the spread of this virus is to be swift, strong and to fiercely strive to be ahead of it. She says we cannot risk it coming through the Manor’s doors. Smith asked everyone to come together do everything in our power to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to prioritize the most vulnerable and those who care for them- everyone in our organization, our community and our province.

Smith adds when the most vulnerable are exposed to this virus, the outcomes are nothing short catastrophic. She say they are very mindful of the heartbreak and grave loss in other places.  Smith says they will  need to rely upon and to be there for each other and their residents and the most vulnerable in the days and weeks ahead.

She also thanked staff members , calling them extraordinary care super heroes and their families for their sacrifices, devotion and cooperation. She also applauded provincial and national chief public health officers along with leaders in all orders of government for their work in these uncertain and unprecedented times.
