Guysborough Tracadie MLA Greg Morrow offered his thoughts on the province granting environmental approval for the Ocean Lake Wind project in Guysborough County.

The Ocean Lake Wind Project, the largest wind project in Nova Scotia to date, is set to include 158 turbines and will generate 1,264 megawatts of electricity.
The five-year construction phase is set to begin in 2029, offering between 400-500 construction jobs with 40 to 50 permanent operational jobs. Morrow said the project will also bring in $11 million in annual tax revenue for the Municipality of the District of Guysborough. Moving forward, the project must meet 61 terms and conditions.
