Antigonish residents have the opportunity to take part in heat pump program.

The Alternative Resource Energy Authority or AREA is partnering with Credit Union Atlantic in the Heat Pump Options Made Easy or HOME program. One of the members of AREA is the town of Antigonish and Mayor Laurie Boucher said the program is already on the go. She said they have a representative who is out meeting with residents and who also can field calls for people looking for heat related assessments on their homes.
Boucher said those interested can visit heatpumpprogram.ca or call 1-866-488-1888 and people can start right away. She said the program is already popular locally.
