Information Session Planned to Talk about Deer Roaming Through New Glasgow Town Limits

May 22, 2019 | Local News

Residents in New Glasgow will have the opportunity to discuss with experts what can be done about the increasing number of deer roaming through town. There will be an information session at Glasgow Square on Monday May 27 at 7pm. There, members of Nova Scotia Lands & Forestry will answer questions about ways to deal with deer in the area. This session will be similar to one held two years ago in the town of Truro, before council there developed their own population control plan. Currently in New Glasgow, there is already a bylaw in place where anyone caught feeding deer or other wild animals inside town limits can be fined.
