Members of the Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation chose their Chief and Council in an election on Wednesday.
The new Chief is Juliana Julian, who was victorious over challengers Jeremy Paul and Harold Andrew Paul Senior.
The new band council will include four incumbents and two new members. Re-elected to council are Terena Francis, Anne Marie Paul, Noah Paul and Kerry Prosper. New to council are Stacey Paul and Dustin Pictou
