Katherine Culligan of the StFX women’s rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week.
A second-year student from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Culligan was an impact player both offensively and defensively in the U SPORTS No. 8-ranked StFX X-Women’s 35-15 semifinal win over the UPEI Panthers on Saturday. The second-year centre scored two tries in the game, had three brilliant runs and several key tackles. Culligan was also named Subway Player of the Game for her standout performance.
The X-Women face the Acadia Axewomen this Sunday in Wolfville in the 2021 Subway AUS Rugby Championship.
