The rink will be loud and bodies will be flying into one another at high speeds…and that’s without any ice.
The Kickin’ Vixens roller derby team is hosting a triple header this Saturday at the Trenton Rink.

The local squad, is taking on the Dockyard Brawlers from Halifax and Rebel Riot from Windsor in their only home games of the season.
Vixens’ captain Lynette MacKay, who skates under the moniker Thread Wrong, said the home team will play each of the visitors once and those teams will also play each other once in 40 minute games throughout the afternoon.
There will be information available on site for spectators new to the sport.
Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and the games begin at 2 p.m. Donations of menstrual products are being collected at the door for the “Just Ask” program.
On September 3, Highland District Derby will host an open house at the Trenton Rink for those looking to learn to skate in quad skates, looking to join the Kickin’ Vixens, the junior team or become a referee. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m..
