Landing 4-H Club receives $1,000 Grant

Nov 13, 2019 | Local News

Antigonish County’s Landing 4-H Club is receiving $1,000 from Saputo and Armstrong Cheese through it’s 4-H Dairy Club Fund.

The fund offers 4-H Dairy Clubs in cow and goat programs to participate in learning activities, while developing their confidence and knowledge relative to the dairy industry.

The Antigonish County organization is one of two 4-H club in Nova Scotia to receive the award; the other is the Double D 4-H club in Cumberland County.

The fund was created last year, after Saputo and its brand Armstrong Cheese committed $660,000 over three years to support 4-H dairy cow and goat programs across Canada. There are grants, awards and opportunities to attend provincial, national and international conferences to meet and share with other youth pursuing the same passion for dairy.
