Local Players named to the Nova Scotia Under 18 Major Hockey League All-Star Team

Five local players have been named as Nova Scotia Under 18 Major Hockey League All-Stars.

Defenceman Keir Jordan and forward James Beaton of the Cape Breton West Islanders are on the league’s first all-star team.

Goaltender Adam Tkacz of the Cape Breton West Islanders and forward Bryson Currie of the Pictou County Weeks Majors were named to the second all-star team.

One local player was also selected to the league’s all-rookie team, defenceman Cory MacGillivray of the Pictou County Weeks Majors.

Team Volunteers of the year are Marina MacIntyre of the Cape Breton West Islanders and Greg Mazzaro of the Pictou County Weeks Majors
