Local students receive Pengrowth Scholarships

17 students from across the province have earned the Pengrowth-Nova Scotia Energy Scholarship, helping them develop rewarding careers. The scholarship is given to Nova Scotia High School students pursuing studies in an energy related field.
Two students will be heading to St.FX next fall, including Patrick Wallace who attends Dr. JH Gillis Regional high school and Emma Bunbury who goes to Memorial High in North Sydney. Wallace will be studying engineering, while Bunbury will enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition. Bboth students will receive $10,000.
As well, William Pettipas of East Antigonish Education Centre and Academy will enroll in NSCC for heavy duty equipment/truck and transport. Pettipas will receive $2,500.
