There is one new councillor coming to the table in Guysborough.
In District 2, Mary Germaine Desmond, with 73 votes, defeated incumbent Sheila Pelly, with 47 votes. In District 3, Neil DeCoff had 249 votes, compared to Elton MacPherson’s 91. IN District 5, Janet Peitzsche with 307 cotes, compared to Lynette Newell, with 71. in District 6, Vernon Pitts, with 208, defeated Susan Cashin, with 159. In District 8, Fin Armsworthy, with 242 votes, defeated Silva Rehel, with 97.
Another new face on council is Paul Long who was elected by acclamation in District One.
