A motorist has been issued a seven day driving suspension following a collision in Priestville, Pictou County.

RCMP were called to the scene involving a Jeep Wrangler and a Toyota Camry on Sherbrooke Road shortly after 6:30 Tuesday evening. The two vehicles collided at an intersection. Road conditions were icy at the time of the crash, no physical injuries were reported.

RCMP say an officer noted the smell of alcohol on the breath of the driver of the Jeep. The driver, a 26-year-old woman, provided a breath sample into an approved roadside screen device, which returned a “warn”. Police say the driver was issued the seven-day driving suspension; her license was also seized.
