Mulgrave Town Council raises Concerns about Heavy Truck Traffic

Mulgrave Town Council discussed a letter recently sent to the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Lloyd Hines regarding heavy truck traffic on Route 344 through the community. Mayor Ron Chisholm told the media after the council meeting that fines have been handed out by TIR to trucks that have been speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road, but it hasn’t made a noticeable difference. “We don’t want to see a tragedy. It’s time for them to slow down,” said Chisholm.
