A new exhibition opens this week at the St. FX Art Gallery, featuring works from local residents.
The exhibition is part of the gallery’s 50th anniversary with 50 artworks from 50 artists in Pictou, Antigonish and Guysborough counties.
Gallery director Andrea Terry says the show has garnered a lot of interest, receiving entries from 85 artists. Terry says a jury of regional arts professionals reviewed 135 art works and narrowed that field down to 50 for the exhibition.
The exhibition opens on Thursday afternoon at the Art Gallery, located at St. FX University’s Mulroney Hall at 4 pm. The “St. FX Art Gallery 50/50” exhibition will continue until September 19th.
