Pictou County has new rules when it comes to agricultural land.
The modified Land Use By-Law and Municipal Planning Strategy for Agricultural Land passed second & final reading at last night’s regular meeting of council.
Warden Robert Parker says that the new rules will help to secure farm land for years to come, but that it is also a living document which can be changed in the future if it isn’t serving that purpose. The new by-law is available on the Municipality of Pictou County website.
