The Municipality of the County of Antigonish approved a tender for sidewalks on Smiths Way and one at the beginning of Mount Cameron, near the first entrance off the 337.
Warden Nicholas MacInnis said council issued a call for tenders about six weeks ago, with SW Weeks Construction offering the winning bid of $249,995 plus HST.
MacInnis said he believes it will be a welcome addition to the area.
