A new exhibition featuring works by Pictou County based artist Dawn MacNutt has opened at the St. FX Art Gallery.
The exhibition is called “Timeless Forms”.
It ranges from delicate wire miniatures to monumental bronze forms cast from woven willow branches; the exhibition explores the fragility resilience and beauty of life.

McNutt says one of the works in the exhibition was inspired by the tragic mass shooting at Portique in 2020. MacNutt says three victims from that shooting are featured in the work of three separate figures of willow branches, including RCMP officer Heidi Stevenson of Antigonish.
The exhibition is organized by the Mount St. Vincent University Art Gallery in Halifax and the Owens Art Gallery in Sackville.
Timeless Forms will be on display at the St. FX Art Gallery until December 6th
