New Glasgow is joining other Pictou County municipalities in collecting a 3 percent levy on hotel,
motel and other short-term rentals.
The money will go to DEANS to fund projects to market the area to tourists. The new by-law passed first reading at council’s monthly meeting. The new levy will go into effect on January first.
