New Glasgow Investigate Robbery at a local Tavern

New Glasgow Regional Police are looking for a suspect believed involved in a robbery at a tavern on Stewart Street in the town.  Police say officers were called to the

Shawn Daniel Bonvie, a suspect wanted by police in connection with a robbery at a tavern Thursday.

tavern early Thursday afternoon.  Police say a lone person entered the tavern and demanded money.  One staff member was in the business at the time, and was grabbed, assaulted and forced into a room.  The employee suffered minor injuries.

The suspect fled on foot with a quantity of cash.  New Glasgow Regional Police  were assisted in their investigation by the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the Truro Police K-9 Unit.
Police say the suspect they’re looking for is Shawn Daniel Bonvie.  He’s a 36-year-old white male with short brown hair.  He’s five feet, eight inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown zip up hooded sweater.
