New Glasgow Town council sold a former school and surrounding property to a local company
New Glasgow Mayor Nancy Dicks
earlier this week.
During a committee of the whole meeting, council accepted a tender for the purchase of the Acadia Street School and site for $10,000 from John Bo Investments Inc.
New Glasgow Mayor Nancy Dicks said the town was responsible for the upkeep of the site, which she said hasn’t served as a school for about eight years. She said John Bo Investments purchased the site for an assisted living project.
Mayor Dicks said there is a lot of development happening in the community.
