New Glasgow Police is advising area residents that a high-risk sex offender is in the local area. Police say 43-year-old Matthew William Rozins is believed to be in the community under supervision and does not intend to stay. He was released from the Northeast Nova Scotia Correctional Facility on Thursday; he is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in September.
He has been convicted on a number of charges in Ontario including Sexual Assault and Committing an Indecent Act. He also has convictions in Nova Scotia including Committing an Indecent Act. He’s also facing other charges in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Police have also posted pictures of Rozins for awareness, but point out they may not reflect his current appearance.
