New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit is investigating four acts of arson that occurred
throughout the Town of New Glasgow and the Town of Trenton early yesterday morning.
Three acts of arson occurred in the Town of Trenton where Trenton Fire and New Glasgow Regional Police responded.
At approximately 1:30 am a fire was reported at a vacant residence on North Main Street. The residence sustained extensive fire and smoke damage.
At approximately 1:43 am a fire was reported at a backyard Shed on First Street, Trenton. The shed sustained fire and smoke damage.
At approximately 2:35 am a fire was reported at a vacant residence on North Main Street, Trenton. The residence sustained fire and smoke damage.
One act of arson occurred in the Town of New Glasgow where New Glasgow Fire Department and New Glasgow Regional Police responded.
At approximately 7:20 am a fire was reported at a vacant residence on Nelson Street, New Glasgow. The residence sustained extensive fire and smoke damage.
The New Glasgow Regional Police, Trenton Fire Department and the New Glasgow Fire Department determined that each fire was intentionally set.
The New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those involved or any information that may assist in the investigation.
Police are also asking the public to check camera footage, dash cams, photos and other video devices that may assist investigators in solving this crime.
New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.
No injures occurred in any of the arson locations.
