New Glasgow Regional Police charge a man for Exceeding Maximum Gathering Limit

Over the weekend, New Glasgow Regional Police charged a 56-year-old adult male for violating the Nova Scotia Health Protection Act by exceeding maximum gathering limit of 10 persons without social distancing.

On Saturday, September 26 at approximately 10:28 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police responded to a complaint under the Liquor Control Act at a Willow Avenue residence and upon investigation, they concluded the gathering exceeded the maximum gathering limit of 10 persons without social distancing.

Police charged the 56-year-old from New Glasgow for failing to comply to the regulations.

New Glasgow Regional Police thanked residents who are adhering to the directives set forth under the Health Protection and Emergency Management Acts, noting the small percentage of individuals who do not follow the directives are putting health and safety at risk.

New Glasgow Regional Police want to remind residents, in an event of an emergency dial 911 and to report any violation under the Health Protection and Emergency Management Acts dial the New Glasgow Regional Police non-emergency line by calling (902) 752-1941.
