The pilot project for a transit system in Pictou County will begin in the new year. Last night, 
Stellarton town council passed a resolution to form a municipal corporation, along with New Glasgow, that will purchase and operate buses in both towns. Mayor Danny MacGillivray says the three-year pilot project will begin April 1st, and the town will put $50,000 towards its cost in years two and three. The province has agreed to fund year one.
