New Glasgow town council has voted to approve a new collective agreement reached
with municipal workers represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 281.
The new contract is retroactive to April 1, 2021 and lasts through March 31, 2026.
The agreement sees a 3 percent increase in pay for four of the five years, with a five percent boost for the fiscal year 2022/2023.
