New Glasgow Town Council Will Discuss Housing at its Next Meeting

Oct 17, 2023 | Local News

Next month’s meeting of New Glasgow town council will be focused on housing, as council will be considering five development agreements to build hundreds of new residential units.

The size of the applications range from the conversion of current buildings to add another unit or two, to the conversion of the school building at 246 Acadia Street to 42 self-contained units, to a row-house and multi-story development on Trenton Road designed to provide over 300 units.

A public hearing on each of these development agreements will be held beginning at 6pm on November 20th, before the regular meeting of council.

Canadian Radio Awards: 989 XFM Small Market Station of The Year

Broadcast Dialogue has announced the winners of the inaugural Canadian Radio Awards, which we’ve dubbed “The Howards” after our publisher emeritus Howard Christensen.

When Howard, a radio veteran and one of the original Broadcast News anchors, founded Broadcast Dialogue in 1992, he saw a need for both timely delivery of Canadian broadcast industry news, but also recognized the importance of creating a sense of community.

989 XFM is very proud to be the winner of the 2020 Station of Year – Small Market award.
