Oland Centre becomes Amelia Saputo Centre for Healthy Living

If you have paid a visit to St. FX University recently, you may have noticed a sign on the building that houses a number of the school’s athletic facilities has changed. The building, which includes the Coach K Court, swimming pool, classrooms, offices for the Human Kinetics Department, St.FX Athletics and its varsity coaches is now known as the Amelia Saputo Centre for Healthy Living. The name was changed from the Oland Centre to recognize a $10 million donation last year from Montreal businessman Lino Saputo Jr. and his wife Amelia to help revitalize the facility.
