One New Case of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia; Three Active Cases

The Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness identified one new case of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the total number of active cases to three.

The new case is in the Central Zone and is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada. The individual has been self-isolating, as required.

To date, Nova Scotia has 95,956 negative test results, 1,089 positive COVID-19 cases and 65 deaths. One person is currently hospitalized in ICU. One thousand and twenty-one cases are now resolved.

The province is renewing the state of emergency to protect the health and safety of Nova Scotians and ensure safety measures and other important actions can continue. The order will take effect at noon Sunday, and extend to noon Sunday, October 18, unless government terminates or extends it.
