Some patrons to local libraries could get free tickets to an upcoming show at the Glasgow Square Theatre in New Glasgow.
The theatre has teamed up with the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.  Starting in February, patrons will be able to reserve a Moments for Everyone Arts Pass at the library.  There are a limited number of passes; seven in total, with one per library branch, and each pass is to be redeemed at the Glasgow Theatre Box Office for two tickets for a performance.  There are six shows at the Glasgow Square Theatre under the Moments for Everyone Arts Pass program.  The passes will be released into the library’s collection two weeks before the performance dates.

At the Glasgow Square Theatre Box Office is Aldera Chisholm,
Volunteer Co-ordinator with the Glasgow Square Theatre (on the left, behind the counter) and Morgan Simms,
Program, Culture, and Events Manager for Glasgow Square and Town of New Glasgow (on the right). You can
redeem your Moments for Everyone Arts Pass borrowed from the library, at the Glasgow Square Theatre Box
Office for 2 tickets to selected performances.

This program is modelled on a similar partnership the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library has with the deCoste Centre for Performing Arts in Pictou.

Canadian Radio Awards: 989 XFM Small Market Station of The Year

Broadcast Dialogue has announced the winners of the inaugural Canadian Radio Awards, which we’ve dubbed “The Howards” after our publisher emeritus Howard Christensen.

When Howard, a radio veteran and one of the original Broadcast News anchors, founded Broadcast Dialogue in 1992, he saw a need for both timely delivery of Canadian broadcast industry news, but also recognized the importance of creating a sense of community.

989 XFM is very proud to be the winner of the 2020 Station of Year – Small Market award.
