Pictou County Pride is getting $25,000 in provincial funding to hire a community development manager. A release from the province states the manager will help develop a strategic plan and strengthen outreach, communications and partnerships across the county.
Pictou West ML A Marco MacLeod and Pictou Centre MLA Danny MacGillivray made the announcement on Friday.
Community organizations are receiving more than $176,000 for 11 projects through the first round of grants in the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community Impact Grant program. The province’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Action Plan and the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community Impact Grant program were announced in January.
