Pictou Mayor says addition of Pre-Primary to the Town is a positive change to Local Schools

With the town of Pictou finally getting a pre-primary program, there will be a reconfiguration of where students will be going to class. As of this fall, MacCulloch Education Centre will go from taking Primary to Grade Eight students, to Pre-Primary through Grade Six. Meanwhile, Pictou Academy will house grades 7 through 12. Mayor Jim Ryan says this change will be a positive one for students.

Mayor Ryan says this could help attract families to the area, as their children could attend school close-by at any grade level.
