Environment Canada is warning of a potential storm that could hit the region on Friday.
The national weather forecast has issued a Special Weather Statement saying while it’s too soon to provide specific details on precipitation types and amounts, there’s a possibility of accumulating snow, heavy rainfall and strong winds. At this time, accumulating snow is less likely for Nova Scotia, especially in southern areas of the province.
Large waves may impact coastlines where strong winds blow onshore. It is most likely to occur along western Cape Breton.
