Power has been restored to an area just east of Antigonish. The outage that affected almost
3,400 Nova Scotia Power customers was reported shortly before 6:30 Wednesday morning. Service was restored about half an hour later.
Areas affected included as far east as Upper Big Tracadie, along the coastline to communities such as Bayfield, Heatherton,Pomquet, Monks Head and Southside Antigonish Harbour and south to communities such as Glassburn, Loch Katrine, Caledonia Mills and Upper Springfield.
The outage was due to damage to Nova Scotia Power’s equipment.
