Province announces one death and three new cases of COVID-19

There’s been one additional death from COVID-19 in Nova Scotia. Provincial Health officials say

the latest person to die from the virus was a resident of the Northwood long-term care facility in the Halifax Regional Municipality.  That raises the number of people who have died from the virus to 47.

Premier Stephen McNeil offered condolences to the family. He added it is our collective duty to do all we can to slow the spread of COVID-19. McNeil says we will get through this best by working together and supporting one another.

The province also announced three new cases of COVID-19, all in the Nova Scotia Health Authority’s Central Zone. The total number of confirmed cases of the virus in the province now now stands at 1,011. Seven people are in hospital, two of those in intensive care.
