During an update earlier today, Premier Stephen McNeil said the province is still pushing
forward with its vaccination program, noting they administered 7,600 doses BY THE end of day yesterday. McNeil said 2,200 frontline health care workers received their second dose.
Next week, the province is running more clinics in three long term care homes including two in Cape Breton, starting a Truro clinic for frontline health care workers, and continuing to operate clinics in cape Breton, Halifax, and the valley.
McNeil said the province will continue to give the first shot and hold back on the second shot to guarantee people a full vaccination. He said the province will continue in this vein until they are guaranteed there will be no interruption in the supply, adding they don’t currently have that guarantee.
