Provincial Health and Wellness Department officials say there were 13 new cases of COVID-19
over the Christmas holiday period. On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, nine cases were identified; six in the Central Zone, two in the Northern Zone and one in in Eastern Zone. All are linked to close contacts or travel outside the Atlantic Region.
On Sunday, three cases were reported, all in the Central Zone. All are linked to close contacts or travel outside of Atlantic Canada.
Today, one case is being reported; in Central Zone and is a close contact of a previously reported case.
There are now 33 active cases of the virus. No one is in hospital.
Nova Scotia’s Health Authority’s labs completed 1,156 tests on Christmas Eve, 1,690 on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and 1,259 tests on Sunday.
