Province reports Four New Cases of COVID-19

There are four new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.  Provincial Health and Wellness officials say one case is in the Eastern Zone an is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.  The person is self-isolating as required.

The remaining three infections are in Central Zone.  One is a close contact of a previously reported case.  One is under investigation and one is connected to Tallahasee Community School, a pre-primary to grade 3 school in Eastern Passage.  The school will close for deep cleaning, testing and contact tracing.  It is expected to reopen to students next Wednesday, December 16th.  Students will learn from home during the closure.

There are 64 active cases of COVID-19, down from Wednesday’s total of 71.

Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 1,788 Nova Scotia tests on Wednesday.
