Provincial Officials Asks Residents To Take Precautions When Celebrating Thanksgiving This Year

The province is asking people to make sure they stay safe over the upcoming holiday weekend.

In a release, the government is encouraging people to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends from their consistent group of 10.The province also stated it’s important for Nova Scotians to follow the public health order and directives for good hand washing and other hygiene steps, and maintain six feet of physical distance when and where required.

They are asking people to regularly clean while preparing food and disinfect other high touch surface areas in the household. People are also advised not to host if someone in the house is feeling ill and not to host those who are ill or self isolating.

Anyone who leaves the Atlantic Bubble for Thanksgiving celebrations must self-isolate for 14 days upon returning to Atlantic Canada.
