The province is reminding residents of the current public health guidelines and offered tips for
celebrating Halloween.
The government is asking residents to follow gathering limits at home of 10 while the gathering limit for community events is 50 people with physical distancing both indoor and outdoor, and non-medical masks are not to be replaced with a Halloween costume mask. For the trick or treaters, they are asked not to go out if they are feeling ill, to trick or treat with people they live with or friends from a close social group, physically distance from other groups, and to avoid houses without lights on or decorations. Children are also advised to wash their hands before and after collecting treats.
For households handing out candy, they are asked not to give anything out if they are feeling ill, try to have only one person handing out treats, and to wear a mask when distancing cannot be maintained.
The province stated Guidance for upcoming holidays will be released closer to the date of each holiday and will reflect the epidemiology of the province at that time.
