teachers, parents, students, and staff the day after schools reopened.
McNeil said he was proud of everyone involved, adding he hopes the return showed there are supports there for students and that school staff are mindful of the health of students.
McNeil said it’s a matter of so far so good, noting university students from outside the Atlantic bubble must isolate for 14 days, noting testing will continue through their isolation. He thanked all post-secondary institutions for their cooperation.
With universities reopening next week, Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Robert Strang thanked

students for their cooperation with the changes to the student landscape.
Premier Stephen McNeil said the province welcomed around 3,200 university and community college students from outside the Atlantic bubble. Strang said this year obviously looks different from school years past, noting students took on a broad responsibility to themselves, their fellow students, their educational institution, and the wider community in which they live.
As the fall term gets underway, Strang said it is important for everyone to continue all personal protective measures. He said he feels the majority of students don’t need the reminder, although he did advise everyone that safety measures need to be kept up as the school year goes on.
