The race to become the next premier of Nova Scotia has a local candidate.
On Thursday, Antigonish MLA Randy Delorey announced he will run in the upcoming Liberal

Leadership race, with the election set for February 6.
Earlier in the day, the office of current Premier Stephen McNeil confirmed Antigonish MLA Randy Delorey has resigned his cabinet posts as Minister of Health and Gaelic Affairs. Resigning from the posts was a prerequisite for running.
First elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2018, Delorey also served as minister of finance and the environment.
