RCMP Assumes Responsibility for Policing in the Town of Trenton

Policing in the Town of Trenton is now the responsibility of the RCMP.

The hand-over from New Glasgow Police to the RCMP happened earlier today, just after midnight.

The District Commander for the Pictou County District RCMP, Staff Sergeant Curtis MacKinnon says the federal force is looking forward to serving the people of Trenton.

Town residents can reach the RCMP at 902-755-4141. In an emergency call 911. The detachment office is at 177 North Foord Street in Stellarton
