Pictou District RCMP arrested a 61-year-old man for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance after receiving a complaint from another motorist.
At around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Pictou District RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver, with a caller telling police of an erratic driver in Caribou. After locating the vehicle, police pulled it over and noticed signs of impairment on the 61-year-old male driver from New Glasgow.
Police arrested the driver for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance and Driving with a Blood Alcohol Level over the legal limit. Following a breath test, the driver’s blood alcohol registered over three times the legal limit. Police released the driver, who is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on April 13.
