Pictou County District RCMP are on scene at a vehicle fire on Highway 4 in Barney’s

River Station, near the former school house. At approximately 7:15 AM this morning a truck carrying 100 Litres of diesel fuel ignited. Local Fire Departments, Hazardous Materials representatives, Vehicle Compliance and the Department of Environment are currently on scene. Traffic in this area will be rerouted until later this afternoon.
