A storm that is bringing heavy snow, extreme cold and high winds will make it difficult for area residents to get around today.
Environment Canada says there’s a snowfall warning in effect for the entire province, some areas could get up to 35 centimes in snow.
The storm has already prompted a number of cancellations. There’s no classes at the Chignecto Central and Strait Regional Centres for Education,Paqtnkek Education Centre, Ecole acadienne de Pomquet, Ecole NDA in Cheticamp, and Ecole Beau-port in Arichat.. Classes are also cancelled at St. FX University, the NSCC’s Pictou Campus in Stellarton, the Strait Area Campus in Port Hawkesbury and the Wagmatcook Learning Centre.
