Schools reopened today across the province after an extended break.

school gyms for evening activity can resume, as long as they follow the guidelines in the public health order.

Strang says updated guidelines to increase music education  in a COVID-safe way have been provided to schools.  It will allow playing instruments and singing in a modified way.  Strang says it will continue to monitor and upgrade guidance as needed.

Strang also thanked students for what they’ve done as part of the COVID response. Strang says a lot has been asked of the students this academic year and they have stepped up by wearing masks, staying in their cohorts, washed their hands, and followed the rules to keep schools safe.
