St. FX University is hosting the Special Olympics Nova Provincial Summer Games this weekend.
More than 900 athletes and coaches from across the province and Prince Edward Island will compete in Track and Field, Bocce, Rhythmic Gynastics, Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, Softball and Golf.
The opening ceremonies will take place the Charles V. Keating Centre at 5 this afternoon, with competition to follow. Competition continues Saturday, wrapping up early Sunday afternoon.Medals from the 2018 Special Olympics National Summer Games, hosted in Antigonish.
