The Nova Scotia House of Assembly will gather for a one day special sitting on Friday at 10 a.m.

The purpose of the session is to elect a speaker.
House leaders and Independent Member Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin have an agreement-in- principle to hold a hybrid sitting that day.
Electing a speaker will allow House Committees to resume their work.
It’s expected MLA’s will return for a full sitting in mid-October.
