The proposal for a new Splash Pad in Pictou has taken another step forward, as council 
endorsed a plan brought forward by an interested community group. Mayor Jim Ryan says a Splash Pad, to be built on land in Brodie Park, would be another amenity that could attract young people and families to the town. However, Ryan notes there are still many details to work out before shovels ever go into the ground.

There are also operational, maintenance and staffing costs to consider. All of this would be part of whatever proposed design goes before council for final approval.
