The Toronto Raptors will start practicing at Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida today. The team was forced to relocate to Florida to play the 2020-21 N-B-A season after the Canadian government would not allow them to play games at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Raptors will play their first pre-season game Dec. 12 against Charlotte.
Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas will begin today’s Sakhir Grand Prix in pole position. He just edged teammate George Russell, who is racing in place of Lewis Hamilton who is out after testing positive for COVID-19. Canadians Lance Stroll and Nicholas Latifi will start the race in 10th and 17th place respectively.
There is only one Canadian left in the field for the Mayakoba Classic in Mexico. Listowel, Ontario native Corey Conners is tied for 20th place after shooting a 3-under 68 in his third round. Conners is eight strokes behind leader Emiliano Grillo.
